Fiona Nguyen DenBeste is the Asia Operations Manager at New Design Concepts (NDC), where she has been contributing her expertise since January 2019. Fiona has a background in the stone business and has been in the furniture industry since 2014. With a BA Degree from the Vietnam University of Commerce, her expertise lies in operations and organizational management. At NDC, she maintains communication with management, staff, and vendors, develops quality assurance protocols, enhances organizational processes, and oversees financial departments. Fiona is driven by the impact of her decisions on productivity, cost-effectiveness, and the well-being of her colleagues. Notable projects she has worked on include university projects, Landing (a private label client), and hospitality projects such as Compass, Dollywood, and Callaway Gardens.
Fiona finds inspiration in the challenge of completing high-pressure projects and takes pride in seeing NDC’s products in use across the USA. She stays motivated through continuous learning, having a supportive team, and maintaining a positive attitude. Outside of work, Fiona enjoys cooking, exercising, and reading, with favorite books like "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living." A fun fact about Fiona is that she once aspired to be a teacher. She lives by William James’ quote, “Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.” Her career aspirations include optimizing operational processes, streamlining workflows, and enhancing team leadership skills. Fiona has memorable experiences at NDC, such as her first visit to the US office and a collaborative late-night effort for a Landing project. She also supports Orphan Voice facilities in Danang, Vietnam, demonstrating her commitment to community service.
