Karen Crain
Karen Crain is an Account Manager at New Design Concepts (NDC). Karen brings two decades of experience as a Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps to her role. Her expertise spans project management, logistics, operations, and team leadership. Before joining NDC, she held various high-level roles including Executive Advisor, Supply Chain Manager, and Construction Project Manager. Karen holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado and has Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. At NDC, she manages the continuity between customers, sales, and manufacturing, focusing on successful project execution from quote to completion. She has contributed to streamlining processes and implementing a new CRM system, and she is currently managing projects for model rooms at Element and Townplace Suites, as well as a Capital Vacations timeshare.
Outside of work, Karen is passionate about snow skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and painting. She enjoys exploring historical war novels and was inspired to join the Marine Corps by Michael Shaara’s novel, The Killer Angels. She is also building a barndominium, which she finds exciting. Her favorite quote is by Aristotle: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Looking forward, Karen aims to enhance the customer experience at NDC and hopes to see the company expand with more account managers and a dedicated division for cabinets. While she is currently not involved in community service, she supports causes financially.
